EVS* 100 Introduction to Environmental Science Credits: 3
This course presents an introduction to the biological and physical impact of human activities on the environment. Environment-related issues on a global perspective will be addressed, with focus on topics such as deforestation, energy, droughts, floods, soil erosion, overpopulation, agriculture, air pollutants, water resources, and waste management, along with potential solutions to control or lessen the extent of environmental damage. Prerequisite: Basic Skills Assessment placement at MAT* 137 and ENG* 101 TAP Competency: Scientific Knowledge & Understanding
