The study of drama as literature from the Greeks to the works of contemporary playwrights. Students will learn how to apply various forms of traditional and modern literary criticism while examining form, style, and dramatic conventions with reference to historical and cultural contexts. Classroom activities and assignments will emphasize the writing of critical analysis using clear textual and contextual citations. Prerequisite: ENG* 101 ; Recommended: ENG* 102 or ENG* 110 TAP Competency: Written Communication in English; Critical Analysis & Logical Thinking
