MFG* 150 Introduction to Machine Technology Credits: 4
Introduction to Machine Technology introduces the student to fundamentals of machining practices. The student will learn to operate the machine tools used in today’s manufacturing environment. This will include drill press, cut-off saws, surface grinders, lathes and milling machines. The lab portion includes various projects using all of the machines listed. Extensive practice in Metrology is an important part of this class so the student completely understands blueprint interpretation as well as the ability to measure projects to meet print specifications. Prerequisite: Eligible for MAT 095 or Higher and Instructor Permission.
